LEGO Innovation

LEGO Innovation coursework is based on mechanical, artistic, design and robotics projects. Our unique programming explores the foundations of engineering in the modern day. Teams of 3-5 will learn the practical application of structural foundations, modular construction and civil engineering as they create and improve their own personal projects.

With head-to-head designing varying from buildings, bridges, battle robots and more; the act of play motivates a kind of mental activity that energizes creative thinking and innovation. Participants experience the thrill of leading and innovating in a competitive environment of the mind while enhancing analytical, problem-solving and collaboration skills.

Projects serve 15 to 20 students and can be done individually or in groups.

Recommended for Students Grades Pre-K-5th

  • Design

Seeing, building and making new connections is a critical pursuit. We inspire future architects and infrastructure engineers as we lead groups of kids through physics and project management lessons. Emboldening young people to think about shaping their future can start by them shaping their own environment.

  • Engineering

We focus on the “why” and the “how” of a build, hoping teams will gain the mental freedom from creating something “perfect” to simply “creating”. Students will analyze their successes and failures to better effectively communicate those reflections for continued project growth.

  • Innovation

Using LEGO as a medium we teach about networks and how they facilitate our lives. Enabling kids to learn how things connect, and how they fit into those connections. Creating Lasting change that drives personal progress that extends across communities and eventually society.
